Rev. Robert W. Ripley

Rev. Robert W. Ripley (Pastor Bob) is a native of Brewer, ME.  Pastor Bob was exposed to Christianity and church involvement from a very young age.  Growing up in a home with two born again parents, Pastor Bob gave his heart to the Lord at the age of eight.

Pastor Bob attended what was then known as Glen Cove Bible College (now New England Bible College).  He majored in Biblical Studies (including original languages), and minored in Missions.  While in college, Pastor Bob was a member of the basketball team, playing against other schools in the small college league and in exhibitions with many of the regional New England churches.  He was also part of several traveling music groups that ministered throughout New England and New York.  He graduated from Glen Cove with a degree in Religious Education.  From Glen Cove, he went on to Pensacola Christian College where he received a Bachelorís in Christian Liberal Arts.

Pastor Bob has ministered as a Christian School educator for five years in Christian day schools in Alabama.  He has also ministered in the areas of pulpit supply, short and long term interim pastoring, Bible study teaching and was the senior pastor at a church in Maine.  Most of these ministry positions were done on a bi-vocational basis while also working in the field of accounting.  Pastor Bob feels that one of his major spiritual gifts is that of Pastor/Teacher.

In the spring of 2010, Pastor Bob felt the Lord moving him, along with his wife Peggy, away from their home and his career in accounting into ministry.  They spent three and a half years living and ministering in Pastor Bobís native area of Bangor, ME until he accepted the call to the First Congregational Church of Rochester in January of 2014.
